Dear Lils:
This year we started a new Thanksgiving family tradition. We made a ‘Tree of Thanks’ out of colorful construction paper and hung it on our wall at home. Each of us were given paper leaves and had to write things we were thankful for. Here is our list:
L:
Charlie
Sunglasses
Markers
Trees and leaves
E:
My Family
My Wife
Soccer
K:
My husband/best friend and loving daughter
My wonderful friends
My Job as a Mom and Freelancer
We love you Lili. And are so thankful to have you in our lives.

That is so gorgeous — beautiful you and your beautiful peeps!
We don’t have any type of Thanksgiving here, but I may take your idea for our Christmas tree decorations (thoughts/events that have been special for us this year type thing).
xx
Hi, this is in regards to your July 14, 2008 posting in which you spoke of your grandfather, Colin Ratsey. I would very much like to converse with you about him, please feel free to contact me thru my email entered on your website here.
Your grandfather was the only sailmaker to respond to my request for a gaff rigged sail for a small sailboat I was building in 1979. I was a shy 14 year old kid in rural Oregon, I had no idea at the time who Colin Ratsey was in the sailing world, and only recently why and how a kid from the sticks of Oregon ended up with sails from someone such as your grandfather.
Hope to chat with you,
Sincerely,
Marie
